Towering Success

 

Dining area
The dining table, made of reclaimed antique pine, was handcrafted by West Barnstable Tables in West Barnstable, Mass., 508-362-2676. The Canadian-made French provincial-style ladderback chairs, featuring a woven “snowshoe” seat and a finish of distressed black paint, were purchased at Cottage Home Furnishings in Chatham, Mass., 508-945-2926. The six-arm chandelier from Cape Cod Lanterns in North Chatham has a wooden center finished with black milk paint over red.

 

 

 

Downstairs bath
The first-floor powder room features a Toto toilet and pedestal sink with an oil-rubbed bronze “Victorian” faucet by Kohler, all purchased through Borden Plumbing & Heating in South Chatham, Mass., 508-432-1627. See www.totousa.com and www.kohler.com. The porthole mirror was purchased from Paine’s Patio in Pocasset, Mass., 508-563-7557. The single oval opal shade sconce in dark brass was purchased from Cape Cod Lanterns in North Chatham, 508-945-1659, www.capecodlanterns.com.

 

 

 

 

Mudroom
The mudroom features durable Emperador 6- by 6-inch marble tiles from Tree’s Place in Orleans, Mass., 508-255-1330. The antique pine storage bench from Central Europe is from Cottage Home Furnishings in Chatham.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kitchen

The custom cabinets feature Baldwin Brass “Melon Cup” pulls and knobs in an oil-rubbed bronze finish from Cape Cod Brass in Harwich, 508-430-4764. See www.cabinetpulls.com. West Barnstable Tables handcrafted the custom countertop from reclaimed antique pine. The flush-mounted onion lantern in dark brass was purchased from Cape Cod Lanterns.

 

 

 

 

Paint colors

Working with their painter, Angelo Aquino of South Yarmouth, the homeowners selected paint colors from the Benjamin Moore Historical Color Collection.

Exterior: Shutters: Covington Blue, HC-138; Trim: white

Interior: Walls: China White; First-floor trim: custom blend of China White; Foyer stairs and trim: Quincy Tan, HC-25; Boys' room trim: Templeton Gray, HC-161; Tower trim: Covington Blue, HC-138

Spatter-painted floors: Deck Gray base spattered with California Blue, American Cheese, China White and Covington Blue.
